Reporting directly to the Group Kitchen Manager, the Full time Kitchen Attendant is responsible for supervising the stewarding team, ensuring efficient dishwashing operations, and supporting compliance with HACCP and WHS protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively supervise kitchen stewards during rostered shifts
• Manage and coordinate the stewarding team for events
• Responsible for the deep cleaning of kitchens and ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standard
• Ensure correct maintenance of all operating equipment
• Rostering and delegation of duties for the department
• Comprehensive training of team members, ensuring they maintain a professional manner and are up to date with the requirements of the precinct
• Work hands on within the stewarding department to ensure hygiene and WHS requirements are met
• Actively participate and contribute to a culture of passion, quality, care of product and the department

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience in a stewarding role managing stewards across a number of kitchens
• Strong understanding of commercial kitchen equipment, chemical handling, food safety, HACCP & WHS requirements
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and delegate effectively
• Hands-on, team-oriented approach with strong communication and training abilities
